Where the IndexScore® came from
We needed a score you could not buy.
Reputation on most marketplaces is a popularity contest — reviews you can farm, ratings you can game. That is the opposite of trust. The IndexScore® was our answer: a single, portable measure of an expert's track record, computed from evidence rather than self-promotion.

Mechanism over promises
We would rather ship escrow than write a guarantee into a contract. Trust that is enforced in code beats trust you have to take on faith.
